Hilarious Divorce Letter

Dear Wife:

I'm writing you this letter to tell
you that I'm leaving you forever.
I've been a good man to you for seven
years and I have nothing to show
for it.

These last two weeks have been hell.
Your boss called to tell me that
you quit your job today and that was
the last straw.

Last week, you came home and didn't
even notice that I had a new
haircut, had cooked your favorite meal
and even wore a brand new pair of
silk boxers. You ate in two minutes,
and went straight to sleep after
watching all of your soaps. You don't
tell me you love me anymore; you
don't want sex or anything that
connects us as husband and wife.

Either you're cheating on me or you
don't love me anymore; whatever the
case, I'm gone.

Your EX-Husband

P.S. Don't try to find me. Your SISTER
and I are moving away to West
Virginia together! Have a great life!

@@@@@@@ @@@@@ @@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@ @@@

Dear Ex-Husband -

Nothing has made my day more than
receiving your letter. It's true that
you and I have been married for seven
years, although a good man is a
far cry from what you've been.

I watch my soaps so much because they
drown out your constant whining
and griping. Too bad that doesn't
work.

I did notice when you got a hair cut
last week, but the first thing that
came to mind was 'You look just like a
girl!' Since my mother raised me
not to say anything if you can't say
something nice, I didn't comment.

And when you cooked my favorite meal,
you must have gotten me confused
with MY SISTER, because I stopped
eating pork seven years ago.

About those new silk boxers: I turned
away from you because the $49.99
price tag was still on them, and I
prayed that it was a coincidence that
my sister had just borrowed fifty
dollars from me that morning.

After all of this, I still loved you
and felt that we could work it out.
So when I hit the lotto for ten
million dollars, I quit my job and
bought us two tickets to Jamaica . But
when I got home you were gone.
Everything happens for a reason, I
guess.

I hope you have the fulfilling life
you always wanted. My lawyer said
that the letter you wrote ensures you
won't get a dime from me. So take
care.

Signed,

Your Ex-Wife, Rich As Hell and Free!

P.S. I don't know if I ever told you
this, but my sister Carla was born
Carl. I hope that's not a problem

LA Auto Show 2007

Last Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 me and my hubby went to Staples Center to watched Auto Show. It was my first time to be there and i was amazed because theres so many people in there with mix races. Its not free and we had to pay $10 fee for entrance. I was really amazed with all the cars i saw! Almost brand of cars are already there like Ferrari, BMW, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda you name it. People in America is really fascinated with cars. I can really tell of that. Americans has all this previlage is their whole life cause i can still see old people men and women still driving on the street.
We had fun looking all those luxury and sports cars. There was a game that my husband was one of the 2 finalist to win an Ipod shaffle, He didnt win cause there was a little cheating about the question. Oh well, still we had fun.

We took almost 4hrs just walk around the diffrent halls. I was really tired and my feet hurts bad of walking. We got home at almost 5pm and I still had to go to work at 6pm until 11. Though it was a long day for me, im still lucky i witnessed all those cars i never seen my whole life.

Thanksgiving History

A friend suggested why not google the history of Thanskgiving and why Turkey is special in Thanksgiving. I found some results and here it is.

Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is a traditional North American holiday to give thanks at the conclusion of the harvest season. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States and on the second Monday of October in Canada.

In the United States, Thanksgiving Day, always a Thursday, is part of four day long weekend which usually marks a pause in school and college calendars. Many workers (78% in 2007) are given both Thanksgiving and the day after as paid holidays, and others with leave benefits are allowed to take a vacation day. After Thanksgiving Day, the day after is known as the unofficial holiday of Black Friday, the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season. Many retailers open very early (typically 5 A.M.) and offer doorbuster deals and loss leaders to draw people to their stores.

Thanksgiving meals are traditionally family events where certain kinds of food are served. As is evidenced by the tremendous level of travel, significant effort is made by family members to gather for the Thanksgiving celebration. Family participation is notably inclusive ranging from the very youngest to the most senior. First and foremost, turkey is the featured item in most Thanksgiving feasts (so much so that Thanksgiving is sometimes facetiously referred to as "Turkey Day"). Stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, corn, turnips, rolls, pecan pie, and pumpkin pie are commonly associated with Thanksgiving dinner. Often guests bring food items or help with cooking in the kitchen as part of a communal meal.

The Thanksgiving holiday was established as a national day of giving thanks and praise to God. The religious heritage of Thanksgiving continues in the tradition of saying grace at the beginning of the Thanksgiving holiday dinner.

The Thanksgiving season is also a time of generosity. People contribute food to annual Thanksgiving food drives and donate to charities.

The celebration of Thanksgiving will be incomplete without the legendary Turkey. It derives its name from the 'turk turk' sounds it makes when scared. Turkey was at one time being considered as the national symbol of America. Benjamin Franklin felt that turkey was the right choice because it was a good runner and had a sharp sight. A bald eagle later became the national symbol of America.

First Thanksgiving Feast
The famous 'Turkey' adorns the table of every household as a main course during the celebration. The customary dinner reminds of the 'Four Wild Turkeys' served at the 'First Thanksgiving Feast'.

It is said, that pilgrims had a feast consisting of cooked turkey after their first harvest in the year 1621, which popularly came to be known as 'First Thanksgiving Feast'. It continued for three days and included ninety Indians. There is however no evidence to prove that turkey was cooked during the first feast. It could have been Venison-flesh of a deeror wild goose meat.

According to folklore Queen Elizabeth of 16th century England was chewing a roast goose during a harvest festival. During the meal, she got to know that the Spanish Armada, on its way to attack England had sunk. In the joy of good news, she ordered for a second goose. Goose became a favourite bird at harvest time in England. However, when the pilgrims arrived in America, they replaced the roasted goose with roasted turkey as main course as it was easier to find and in plenty.

Today, every house cooks turkey as the main dish during the celebration. It is the main mascot of the modern-day thanksgiving. The festivity completes with the customary 'Turkey Song'.

Thanksgiving Day Turkey Song
O turkey dear
O turkey dear
How lovely are thy feathers

O turkey dear
O turkey dear
There could be nothing better!

We celebrate Thanksgiving Day
By putting your carcass on display.

O turkey dear
O turkey dear
You thought we were friends who came to greet you.

O turkey dear
O turkey dear
We gathered here to eat you!

O turkey day
O turkey day
The family is all together

O turkey day
O turkey day
We've over come bad weather

Seeing the family is so fab
We'll see ya'll again in rehab.

O turkey day
O turkey day
We'll drink away your memory.

The National Thanksgiving Proclamations

National Thanksgiving Proclamations proclaim thanks for God’s providence in the events of the nation and, as President Washington explained in his Thanksgiving Proclamation, "for the many signal favors of Almighty God" in the lives of the people.

As congress recognized the importance of Thanksgiving observance, President George Washington issued a national Thanksgiving Proclamation in 1789. He wrote, "Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be—That we may then all unite in rendering unto him our sincere and humble thanks—for his kind care and protection of the People of this Country...for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of his Providence which we experienced in the tranquility, union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed...and also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech him to pardon our national and other transgressions—to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually...To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us—and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as he alone knows to be best."

In 1789 Washington designated a national thanksgiving holiday for the newly ratified Constitution, specifically so that the people may thank God for "affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness" and for having "been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted, for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed... "

The first official Thanksgiving Proclamation made in America was issued by the Continental Congress in 1777. Six national Proclamations of Thanksgiving were issued in the first thirty years after the founding of the United States of America as an independent federation of States. President George Washington issued two, President John Adams issued two, President Thomas Jefferson made none and President James Madison issued two. After 1815 there were no more Thanksgiving Proclamations until the Presidency of Lincoln, who made two during the Civil War.

President Lincoln declared Thanksgiving a Federal holiday as a "prayerful day of Thanksgiving" on the last Thursday in November. Since then every U.S. President has always made an official Thanksgiving Proclamation on behalf of the nation. President Franklin D. Roosevelt set the date for Thanksgiving to the fourth Thursday of November in 1939 (approved by Congress in 1941).

8 Tips for the Savvy Shopper

Once you've created a gift list, clip these tips and follow them to make your shopping as hassle-free as possible:

1. TIME YOUR BUYING. Don't fall for Midnight Madness sales, which typically offer discounts on just a few products. Sales are first come, first served, which could mean hours of waiting. For "hot" gifts that might be in short supply, buy as soon as you see them. But consider waiting for others while discounts mount. Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, and the following Cyber Monday are the days when many merchants get serious about sales. You're likely to find online discounts, free standard shipping, or deferred interest payments. Shop in the early morning, when crowds tend to be light, and when retailer Web sites we scanned are especially inclined to offer special discounts.

2. GO ONLINE TO SAVE BIG. Use several shopping "bots" to compare product prices at dozens of retailers. Better-known bots include BizRate, DealTime, Google Product Search, MySimon, Shopping.com, Shopzilla, Amazon.com, and Yahoo Shopping. If possible, sort by product price. (Bots often put retailers that pay a fee at the top of the results list.) Download coupons at FatWallet and DealTaker.com. Those sites also provide advance information about sales at many stores and reveal which products come with rebates and which merchants offer free shipping. CouponCabin offers coupons plus discount or promotional codes, which boost savings. Store Web sites offer coupons and say what products are available at stores, so you won't waste a trip.

3. BE LEERY OF BANK GIFT CARDS. They're more likely to expire and tack on fees than cards offered by individual retailers. Some cards depreciate in value from month to month if unused. If you give a gift card, pass along the receipt, too, in case the card is lost.

4. GET A GIFT RECEIPT. If the recipient lacks a receipt, they may be issued a gift card or store credit for the lowest price the item ever sold for, not necessarily what you paid. They'll also need the receipt for warranty service. Purchases made in November and December are often eligible for extended return or exchange privileges.

5. BE SURE YOUR GIFT IS WANTED. A recipient returning electronics gear in an opened box might pay 10 to 15 percent of the purchase price as a restocking fee. Computer software, music CDs, and movie DVDs generally can't be returned or exchanged for another title once the seal is broken.

6. APPLY FOR REBATES. Four of 10 people eligible for rebates forget to collect the necessary paperwork, follow the wrong procedure, or wait too long to file. If you're entitled, act fast. You'll typically need the product serial number, a sticker or label,
an original receipt, UPC code cut from the carton, and an official form. Rebates issued as debit cards, a growing trend, typically expire in 60 or 90 days.

7. AVOID PRIORITY SHIPPING. Using last year as a barometer, the deadline for free shipping from major retailers will expire about Dec. 18, though standard shipping might be possible for a day or two longer. Ordering one-day service can add $20 or more and doesn't guarantee delivery within 24 hours of clicking on "place order." The arrival date is calculated from the moment the package is shipped, so factor in two or three days of processing time.

8. SAY NO TO EXTENDED WARRANTIES. Most products don't break during the first three or four years of ownership. If breakage does occur, the repair cost is typically similar to the warranty cost. For added protection at no cost, buy with a credit card. You can extend the manufacturer's original warranty free for up to one year with most gold and platinum cards (check with the issuer).

Mike Tyson sentenced to 1 day in jail

In the news today, the popular heavyweight champion boxer Mike Tyson spend 24hrs in jail yesterday Monday. And he will be given a 3 yrs. probation for drug possession and driving under the influence.

The police saw him wiping a white stuff on his dashboard while driving in traffic way from Scottsdale's Pussycat Lounge. They found a bag of cocaine of Tyson's pocket and in his car.

I hope it wont happen to our Filipino boxers. I hope they will value the dignity of being a champion and pride of Filipinos.

Ive got a friend in you

Got this nice tag from my preggy blogger friend Lira.

It is my joy in life to find many friends online and I feel so bless to have a pretty friend like you. To have a friend and be a friend is what makes life worthwhile. Thank you so much for considering me also as one of your friend. A true friend loves at all times (Proverbs 17:17). May God fill you with all joy, love, peace and happiness in life and let God guide in all your plans, in all your dreams, in all your wish to happen in your life. God bless you always and forever...

I would love to forward this to Avee, Emma, Daff and Darlene.

My first day of Training

I got home like 1hr. ago. Its my first day of work today. I worked 3 and half hours today. It was fun cause its a lot of Filipinos i met and all are very patient and friendly to me. Its not that easy cause i have lots of things to know about being a cashier. But i wont give up cause i know its my opportunity. Im so blessed cause if i work like this in Philippines no matter how work hard i am i wont be progress because your rate is not enough to pay your work.

So my day at work was fine though my feet hurts because i have to stand up for couple of hours.
Oh well thats life, i just said to my self "No pain, No gain".

A very healthy baby!!!

What would you feel when your baby is healthy as like this? I cant imagine if i will bear a baby in my womb as big as like this. I don't know if i can handle it.

I wonder how her mother manage her when shes still pregnant. But this baby is the world's fattest baby. Her name is Nadia, she weighed 7.75 kg. or 17.1 lbs. after birth. She was born in Siberia on September 17, 2007.

How about you guys? Do you think you can handle a baby like this too?

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack and Kate Winslet as Rose. Im pretty sure alot of people likes the movie. You should have not seen it but you must experience it.

In the news today, Titanic survivor Barbara West Dainton was one of the last 2 survivors from sinking of Titanic Ship at Atlantic sea in 1912. She died at the age of 96 last Oct 16, 2007 at the nursing home in England.

Tallest man in United States

George Bell a 7 footer and 8 inches tall recognized last Thursday as the tallest living man in United States of America. He is taller 2 inches than yao ming the current NBA player. Bell wears size 19 of the shoes, pants with a 43-inch inseam and shirts with 45-inch sleeves.

He did play basketball, in college and with the Harlem Wizards and Harlem Globetrotters show teams.

Guinness began searching for America's tallest man in August.

Bell's ex-wife registered him online, and Guinness spokesman Stuart Claxton said Bell's doctor documented his height.

The Guinness record book now lists only the tallest man in the world, but Bell will be noted -- along with the tallest men in several other countries -- in the edition to be published next year.

Bell hit 5-foot-4 at age 9. In middle school, he topped 6 feet.

By the end of high school, he was 7-foot-6. He played basketball until, at 30, he lost interest in the sport and switched to law enforcement.

Bell focuses on the perks of being tall. For example, he usually gets free upgrades to first class on flights when the ticket-counter attendants realize he's going to need a lot of leg room.

He credits his late great-aunt, Etonia Johnson, with his positive attitude: "She always told me, 'Don't feel ashamed of yourself. Stand tall. God made you. Be happy and show your pride.'"

But today, another great day for me because me and hubby went to T Mall after his appointment with the doctor. I applied for a job and they interviewed me right away. Thats was not easy though cause there are 4 people i had to deal with question and answer and interview took 2 hrs!!. But still i was kinda surprised cuz they gave me a 90% chance to work with them. The HR personnel told me to get my drug test tomorrow!! And if im clear then they will call me to start the job soon!!I will work as a cashier but its only seasonal, still good for me than to stay home all day and nothing to do but online and cant get real income. Im so happy today because i can help my hubby to pay our bills and i can send money back home for my family if ever they will hire me. God is so great!! He answers all my prayers.

Daylight Saving

Before when i was in Davao i didnt know that America has Daylight Saving. My husband told me and explained it to me why US need to move their clocks backward and forward. He said its because US has 4 seasons and when its winter they have to move the time backward and when its spring it has to move forward. . Today, since its winter time we have to move backward or set our clocks backward this 2am in the morning. So from Philippine time to US, we have 16hrs difference, and as always Philippines is always ahead of time than US.

Its really amazing how the world really works. When im talking to my family in Philippines its daylight while im here in Los Angeles its night time. Inst it amazing?

halloween Treat

Lerlyn passed this Halloween treat to me.

I wanna posted it how Americans patronized Halloween. They have party and most of all the Trick or Treat. I was really amazed when me and husband went out for movie to watch Saw 4. I saw people outside, the kids and even grown up had their costumes, Halloween costumes. I said to my self wooowwwwww......how i wish i could wear a Halloween costume too!! I never had trick or treat ever. In Philippines, we dont do it. Every November 1-2 we just go to cemetery and light candles to our deceased love ones. We cook food as offer to the souls. Thats why i was really impressed when i saw the people here doing the trick or treat with thier Halloween costumes.

I wanna say Thank you to those who greet me a happy halloween.
